Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Gear SmartWatch Price in Nigeria

The price of the Samsung Galaxy Gear and Note 3 in Nigeria were announced at the Note3 Google+ hangout hosted by Samsung Nigeria yesterday with Banky W, Kate Henshaw and Ali Nuhu as featured participants along with Samsung executive representatives.





The Galaxy Gear will cost around N50,000 in Nigeria while you will be able to buy the Galaxy Note 3 phablet at Konga around N98,000 in Nigeria.



The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which will run on the newest Android 4.3 with TouchWiz UI is the first device ever to feature 3GB of RAM. Compared to Galaxy Note 2, it has a bigger 5.7-inch full HD display of the Super AMOLED variety.



The phablet offers a new 13MP camera capable of 4K video recording and 2MP front-facing camera. It runs on a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 32/64GB internal storage and a 3200 mAh battery. It comes in Jet Black, Classic White, and Blush Pink.



It is available as Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9000 with 3G connectivity and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9002 with dual SIM card support.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear on the other hand, is a wearable, companion to the Galaxy smartphones and phablets, not a separate Android device . The 1.64" smartwatch with a Super AMOLED display enables you to start calls, check call logs and even read SMS texts without having to check your phone contantly. There's a dedicated app that helps you configure the smartwatch from your Galaxy Note 3.

Can I Use Galaxy Gear With Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2?

According to a post at GSMArena.com, Galaxy S4 will get support for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch by the end of October, 2013 while that of the Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III smartphone will happen by the end of December 2013.



The compatibility between the products will come as part of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update which will bring the crucial Bluetooth 4.0 LE support that the Galaxy Gear requires to the trio.

Price of iPhone 5C and 5S in Nigeria At SLOT and Jumia

Apple unveiled the two latest iPhones: the iPhone 5S and 5C and the next generation of its mobile software, iOS 7 at its headquarters in Cupertino, California last week. The iPhone 5S — announced alongside a more economical iPhone model, the iPhone 5C — keeps the same overall physical design as the previous-generation iPhone 5, but with some upgrades.





Both new phones have 4G, bundled with iOS7 and comes with popular Apple apps ( iWork, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iPhoto and iMovie) for free. These apps are normally priced between $4.99 and $9.99 each.

iPhone 5S Features & Specs

The iPhone 5S available in three elegant expressions: gold, silver, and space gray; has a new A7 processor re-engineered for 64-bit architecture - that’s desktop-class architecture in a superslim phone, translating to a phone capable of running much more complex software.



iPhone 5s features advanced technologies custom designed for the iSight camera’s hardware and software. According to an article on Mashable, it boasts an improved 8MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture for taking better photos in low light as well as a dual-LED flash (white and amber) for creating the perfect natural color balance in shots. A panorama mode can take a 28-megapixel shot, and a new burst mode snaps 10 still pictures in one second. The 5S can do slow motion video.



The iPhone now knows who you are. The 5S will be able to recognise you by your fingerprints, using Touch ID technology — a new fingerprint identity sensor.  Put your finger on the Home button, and just like that your iPhone unlocks. or approve purchases from iTunes Store, the App Store, and the iBooks Store, so you don’t have to enter your password.

iPhone 5C Specs and Features

The iPhone 5C is cheaper than the iPhone 5S. The C in iPhone 5C stands for colour, not cheap. It has many of the same capabilities as the iPhone 5, but the rear of the 5C is replaced by a single piece of colored polycarbonate. It will come in pink, green, blue, yellow and white.

The 5C boasts a 4" Retina display with the same resolution (640 x 1136 pixels), Apple A6 chipset (same as iPhone 5) running iOS 7, 8MP / 1080p camera, 100Mbps LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0.



Apple has designed more vibrantly colored cases for iPhone 5C with rows of small holes cut out on the back to allow the phone's color to shine through.

Differences between iPhone 5S and 5C

How Much is iPhone 5S and 5C in Nigeria?

The phones are not yet available in Nigeria phone shops. So, I can't really give you the actual price for now but it's been rumored that iPhone 5S has the same pricing as the current iPhone 5: $199 for the 16GB version, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB. This means we should be expecting it to be within the range of N115,000 and N150,000 at SLOT Ikeja, Jumia and Konga.com.

Buy iPhone 5 at Konga here for N120,000. 

The iPhone 5C on the other hand will be priced at $100 less than the current iPhone 5. This means you should be expecting close to N20,000 difference from the price of the iPhone 5S. The colorful iPhone 5C cases will be available for $25 each.



Both phones will be available in stores on Sept. 20 in the US, China, the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and Singapore. By December the availability is expected to be expanded to more than 100 countries.

PlayStation 4 Price in Nigeria

At a press conference, earlier last week, Sony announced the upcoming release of Play Station 4 (ps4), which would allow used games, disc sharing and not require any sort of online check-in.



The new Sony Playstation four console which looks a bit larger than the current ps3 design looks sharp in matte black with an angular design and comes with a redesigned DualShock 4 controller. It looks a bit like two separate slabs of plastic fused together asymmetrically. The system's USB ports, as well as its power and eject switch, are hidden, thereby giving the console a sleek, modernist look.

The new Dual Shock 4 controller has a touch pad, a headphone jack, and a camera to track the position of the controller. It also has a "share button" so ps4 gamers can broadcast their gameplay to their friends in real-time. Ps4 games can be suspended and started by tapping the power button of the controller.

According to the hands on review of the ps4 at techradar, the play station 4 dualshock 4 controller has handles that are ergonomically curved with a grippy, contoured pattern that makes it easy to hold onto. The newly integrated touchpad at the center, adds an extra level of control and interaction with games and on-screen menus.



Sony is allowing players to stream any Play station 4 game to test it, share it with friends if they like it, and then download it from the Internet; and if gamers want to play games from the PlayStation 3 console they'll have to stream them—the discs won't work with the new machine; according to Julia Boorstin's blog post on CNBC. 

So, What is the Price of Sony Play Station 4?

The ps4 release date is still unknown as at the time of publishing this post. Sony didn't reveal pricing details at the conference but there are speculations that it will be around $400. So, that means hopefully, you might buy the ps4 in Nigeria between N70, 000 - N80,000 if not a bit more.



The console will ship with one controller, and extra controllers will likely cost extra money as well as the Playstation camera.
