BREAKING: President Buhari Finally Signs 2016 Budget

President Muhammadu Buhari has
finally signed the 2016 budget.
Buhari’s assent finally brings an
end to the controversy surrounding the budget.

The National Assembly had in April transmitted details of the budget to the president after it had passed the bill on March 23, but the President returned the document back, citing omission of certain capital projects. This was worked on and sent back, but again the Presidency refused to sign.


Recall that the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Jonathan Gaza, yesterday said the corrected
version of the 2016 budget has been resent to the President for
consideration.

Speaking with journalists at the
National Assembly complex, Gaza
said the budget was transmitted to
the Presidency through the Special
Assistant to the President on
National Assembly Matters, Senate, Senator Ita Enang.
Available report has, however,
revealed that all grey areas have
now been addressed and the
budget has been signed.

Woow! MTN sets to Roll out it 4G LTE services From July

MTN Nigeria is set to roll out its Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4GLTE) broadband services latest by July 2016 in selected cities, using the 800MHz frequency acquired from Visafone Ltd earlier this year.

MTN plans to have about 1,500 LTE collocated sites backhauled with fibre optics this year.

LEADERSHIP had last week exclusively reported that MTN Nigeria paid N47.5 billion to acquire Visafone’s assets, including its frequency and 2.1 million customers in order to improve the quality of MTN’s broadband services for its subscribers.

The chief executive officer, MTN, Mr Fedinand Moolman, confirmed, during MTN Group Ltd’s first quarter results analyst conference with investment firms recently held in Johannesburg, South Africa, that the main reason MTN acquired Visafone was to get access to the frequency which would allow it roll out LTE. He said that MTN has started the process to migrate all the Visafone subscribers onto its network so that they can clean up the frequency and start rolling out LTE.

“It delayed our capital expenditure (CAPEX) rollout during the first quarter a little bit because we needed to realign some of our CAPEX towards the LTE rollout. We started the migration of the subscribers and we hope to conclude that soon.  The plans are to have commercial LTE available towards the end of the second quarter, maybe  early  quarter three,  albeit  very  limited,  obviously  not  substantial,  and then start expanding  this  towards  quarter three,  quarter four and  first quarter of next year. It is obviously a comprehensive project,” Moolman said.

The chief financial officer, MTN Group, Bret Goschen, said, “We have been engaging with our major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors and ensuring that the CAPEX rollout continues as planned. We are very close to finalising short-term arrangements, bridge-type facilities with the vendors, and then longer term arrangements around the ECA-backed credit financing we should have in place by the mid year.”

The chief operating officer, MTN Group, Jyoti Desai, said that they have taken a very detailed analysis of MTN Nigeria’s data usage and where they should be rolling out the LTE network in the first place.

“We looked at the handset ecosystem and revenue  opportunity  and  have  identified  some  of  the  major cities,” he said.

According to him, MTN Nigeria’s LTE rollout will not impact its CAPEX as it already has space reservation in its joint tower company. He also stated that the LTE will be rolled out in existing base station sites.

As Mtn have started their own following Ntel, I think Other Networks should Also follow suit..

According to Facebook Messenger Spokesman,
this feature was introduced in other to aid those
who wish they could do more than just typing.

butt and having to just talk could feel much
better and much stress-free. With the group call
feature, users can simply engage in group
conversations using voice instead of typing.
In other to get this feature rolling on your device,
you have to update the messenger app to it’s
latest version and it is currently only available on
iOS and Android platforms.

How to Migrate your Visafone Sim to MTN Network

It’s no longer news that MTN has acquired Visafone and as such, MTN now owns Visafone. In a bid to keeping Visafone users within the new network service, it is advised that Visafone subscribers should migrate their line(s) to the MTN Network and the process is pretty simple.

No, migrating an existing Visafone sim to an MTN network won’t make the Visafone number void. The numbers will still be intact. It’s just a change of network. See it as porting from one network to another which doesn’t in anyway, affect being reached with the existing number.


before you commence with the
migration, there are some things you
should know and these are:

1. VisaFone is now owned by MTN
2. Your VISAFONE number will not change, it
will be retained on the MTN network
3. Your Tarrif plan and data bundle will remain
unique to VISAFONE
4. The Migration process and New SIM Card are FREE of charge.
5. Your line is expected to be active on the MTN Network within 24 hours of activation.
6. You cannot send someone to do the migration for you.
7. You will be able to access and retain your services on MTN after Migration. MTN GSM network support both Voice and Data services.
8. You’ll not be able to retain your VISAFONE airtime and data balances after the migration to MTN but you’ll be duly compensated after your migration is done.
9. You will still be charged based on Visafone productand service tariff plans
10. Once migrated, you will only be able to recharge with MTN vouchers using *556*
11. You will need to retain your phone with a GSM enabled phone except your old phone is compatible with CDMA and GSM
12. Visit any MTN or VISAFONE retail outlet to perform the migration process

Below are the requirements before
migrating a Visafone SIM to The MTN
Network

1. Duly filled Migration form (to be provided to customer on visit).
2. An active VISAFONE MSISDN.
3. Three (3) frequently dialled numbers.
4. A Valid ID card – International Passport (Data Page), Driver’s license, National ID, Voters Card, etc.
5. VISAFONE SIM or Starter Pack/kits (Optional).

As we probably all know, Visafone used to be a CDMA network. Migrating to MTN automatically makes it a GSM network which opens doors for more possibilities.

UFC star Conor McGregor had on Tuesday in a cryptic tweet said he will retire from fighting at UFC, which shocked many fans considering he was at the prime of his career and he was just 27.

On Tuesday, he posted on Twitter to his 1.5m Twitter fans saying  'I have decided to retire young. Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya's later.' But on Wednesday, he told fans through Twitter, to expect a statement from him on Thursday, and the Irishman kept true to his words, confirming on Facebook he won't be retiring while also hitting back at the UFC in an explosive 651 word rant.


'I am just trying to do my job and fight here.' the statement began.
'I am paid to fight. I am not yet paid to promote. I have become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting. There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop. 50 world tours, 200 press conferences, 1 million interviews, 2 million photo shoots, and at the end of it all I'm left looking down the barrel of a lens, staring defeat in the face, thinking of nothing but my incorrect fight preparation. And the many distractions that led to this.
'Nothing else was going through my mind. It is time to go back and live the life that got me this life. Sitting in a car on the way to some dump in Conneticut or somewhere, to speak to Tim and Suzie on the nobody gives a f* morning show did not get me this life. Talking to some lady that deep down doesn't give a f* about what I'm doing, but just wants some sound bites so she can maybe get her little tight a a nice raise, and I'm cool with that too, I've been giving you all raises. But I need to focus on me now. 
'I'm coming for my revenge here. I flew an entire team to Portugal and to Iceland to make my adjustments in preparation and fix my errors I made with the weight and the cardio prep. With the right adjustments and the right focus, I will finish what I started in that last fight. 'I will not do this if I am back on the road handing out flyers again.
'I will always play the game and play it better than anybody, but just for this one, where I am coming off a loss, I asked for some leeway where I can just train and focus. I did not shut down all media requests. I simply wanted a slight adjustment. But it was denied. 
'There had been 10 million dollars allocated for the promotion of this event is what they told me. So as a gesture of good will, I went and not only saved that 10 million dollars in promotion money, I then went and tripled it for them. And all with one tweet. Keep that 10 mill to promote the other bums that need it. My shows are good. I must isolate myself now. I am facing a taller, longer and heavier man. I need to prepare correctly this time. I can not dance for you this time.
'It is time for the other monkeys to dance. I've danced us all the way here. Nate's little mush head looks good up on that stage these days. Stuff him in front of the camera for it. He came in with no s* to do that last one. I'd already done press conferences, interviews and shot the ads before RDA pulled out. 'Maybe I'll hit Cabo this time and skull some shots pre-fight with no obligation. I'm doing what I need for me now. It is time to be selfish with my training again. It is the only way.
I feel the $400million I have generated for the company in my last three events, all inside 8 months, is enough to get me this slight leeway. I am still ready to go for UFC 200.
'I will offer, like I already did, to fly to New York for the big press conference that was scheduled, and then I will go back into training. With no distractions. 'If this is not enough or they feel I have not deserved to sit this promotion run out this one time, well then I don't know what to say. For the record also - For USADA and for the UFC and my contract stipulations - I AM NOT RETIRED.'
