PayPal Limitation Removal Using Adsense Account: How I Did It

It's almost 6 months now that PayPal limited access to my account which I verified with GTBank Naira MasterCard and also linked to my Access Bank Visa card. The account was rendered useless because I couldn't use it for online payments.



The account was limited after I entered the wrong password several times and I was told to change my password, change my security question, proof my address and upload a photo ID for me to regain full access to the account.

Instantly, I changed my password, changed my security question and those were marked as "resolved" at the resolution centre but I couldn't proof my address.





PayPal rejected the NEPA bill (utility bill) which I uploaded simply because another name (name of the house owner) is on the bill.



I also couldn't resolve the issue with my driver's license because the address on it is different from the address on my PayPal account. I used the address of where I reside presently when I opened the Nigeria PayPal account but my home address is what I have on the driver's license.



The whole thing pissed me off. For months, I abandoned the account and relied on Pay4ME services of my friends for online purchases that require PayPal.



Today, I decided to check the inbox of my PayPal email address for mails related to PayPal limitation removal. Fortunately, I saw an email in which it was stated that I can also send screenshots of online statements which has logo of institution, name, address,valid date of issue and transactions (if bank account).



For some seconds, I thought of an online statement I can use and I decided to try my Google Adsense account. I quickly signed in to my Adsense account and took a screenshot of the most recent Payment receipt. I signed it to my PayPal account and uploaded it at the resolution center.

Few hours later, I received a mail that my PayPal account access has been restored. Good news..right? :)

Immediately, I started combing the web for Cyber Monday deals..eh eh. Yes, I just can't wait to grab some fantastic deals.

Yet blogging has been known to help brand people and businesses.  When you blog consistently, it can quickly position you as a go-to-expert in your niche.



But the million dollar question remains



How do you become a successful blogger?





While passion is an important ingredient, there are some other spices that you need to help you become a great blogger.

These secret ingredients are:



1. You have to keep working at it



You just can't give up. Not now and not ever. When you give up, you are giving someone else one less spot to compete for. Successful bloggers have learnt to keep pushing until they achieve their goal. Life would happen. Anything that can go wrong will possibly go wrong but it is only when you are persistent that you can truly be successful.



2. Learn to promote others but promote yourself more



As a buddy blogger, you may think the secret to success is to talk about other people but you are wrong. When starting out, you need to get word out about your blog. This means focusing greatly on promoting your blog because you need to establish yourself as someone to reckon with. Granted you need once in a while to promote others in order to build relationships with them but do not make it an obsession or focus more on it. You are building your own reputation so talk about your stuff more.



3. Do not ignore all other marketing channels 



One grave mistake most bloggers make is not leveraging other marketing channels to grow their blog. Once they push the publish button, they run off to start writing the next post but you cannot grow your blog that way. You need to drive traffic to and through your blog using various other means. Paid advert eg Facebook ads, can quickly give your blog post traction. Social media presence is a necessary evil and SEO is a must.  For SEO, we do not mean all the advanced stuffs like link building etc but the most basic stuffs like including your keyword in your title and naming your images with the alt tag.You can download the Google SEO ebook to master the basics.



4.  Be yourself



You must understand who you are and learn how to turn it into an advantage. What do you know best? Are you better at creating graphics? When and how do you write best? What kind of articles comes easily to you to write about? For examples, blog topics hit me at any time so immediately this happens, the first thing I do is to write down my first draft using my smart phone. When I think I have the skeleton of the post written only then do I transfer it to my desktop to complete. This has worked so well for me that I rarely ever sit down at my desktop to try to write a new post.



5.  Identify your niche



Another grave mistake bloggers make is trying to be everything to everyone. Just because entertainment news is hot cake does not mean you should join the bandwagon. When you do that you can get lost in the crowd. To truly make a name for yourself, you need to identify which niche makes the most sense for you. It could be because of your passion. It could be that you are knowledgeable about the niche but you must pick a particular niche and stay with it.  If you are writing about technology, write technology. If you want to focus on food, focus on it. Don't be a jack of all trade and master of none.



6.  Start Collecting emails as soon as you can



Okay, these may sound a little advanced but from the very first day you start your blog, start thinking of how you intend to collect emails from your readers. Eventually these emails are going to remain the only medium by which you can build a lasting relationship with your readers. Not everyone will visit your blog every day and yet they would not mind hearing from you. So get into the lead generation game early. For starters, you can add Feedburner email subscription form to your blog.



7. Find a mentor or steal one



 If you are lucky you may find someone to mentor you but that may not be the case especially if you are a newbie. What can you do? Steal one. Identify two bloggers in your niche that are successful then make it a point of duty to study them. Visit their blog every day. Follow them on social media. Understand how to write, what they write about and who their audience is. Then go replicate them only do it better.



To wrap it up the only difference between a successful blogger and the average blogger is the persistence, dedication, amount of time you put into your blog and the ability to keep going when everyone else gives up.

Set Up Facebook Ad With 1000 Naira ($6) for One Week

I decided to create this quick post because of the requests I received on Facebook few hours ago after posting updates as regards to Facebook ads.



In one of the status updates, I said "If you cant afford at least N5,000 to advertise your online business on ‪#‎facebook‬ for 30days, you don't a business".  A friend of mine, replied and I quote : "But N5,000 is not even sufficient to advertise on facebook ads for a week, how come a month? ......".

So, in this post, I'm going to show you how possible it is. I assume you understand how to create a Facebook ad though..



Well, no magic in it. All you need to do is to select "lifetime budget" instead of "daily budget"  when creating your ads and ensure you set the ad to run over a specific period of time.



So, let's assume you want to spend NGN1,000 for one week, that will be approximately $6 (NGN170 per dollar) and I will assume 6 days makes a week.



==> Go to www.facebook.com/ads to create your ad

==> At the budget section, click the drop down arrow, then select "lifetime budget" instead of "daily budget"

==> By default, Facebook might automatically set the budget to $350 or something else. Edit it to $6.

==> Click on the calendar icon in the "End" field and ensure it's set to 6days. This will ensure you're budgeting at least $1.00 for every day your ad will run.



It should look similar to the screenshot below :

That's all. 



If you want to spend N5,000 for 30 days, use a lifetime budget of $30 and set it to run for 30days as explained above.



NB: If the ad set doesn't spend up to $1 on the first day, the system will try to make up the missed amount at a later date within the ad set.



Remember, no big deal in setting up Facebook ads. The most important thing is how to get the best out of your ads without having to break the bank.

Missed Menstrual Cycle: 5 Reasons Your Period Isn't Showing Up As Usual

Have you ever imagined the disappointment that crops up on your face when you are fetching water from a tap and the water suddenly stops rushing? You will immediately try to figure out the reason why the water stopped rushing out from the tap, firstly, you will check if the source of the water being tank still contains water and all. Depending on how urgent you’ve anticipated using the water you will surely be disturbed and the much trouble comes up when you have to retire back home with a half filled bucket or an empty bucket.

Okay, enough of the imagination! I just used the paragraph above as an example, try to use it and relate to the problem of waiting for your menstrual flow and nothing was showing up for like 3 cycles. Damn! That alone can give you sleepless nights. I bet you the first assumption that will hit an average woman’s reasoning will be that she is pregnant; even if she hasn’t s slept with a man all these while she will zoom off to the doctor to check her pregnancy status. That’s so normal, very normal, even a doctor will advise you to check your pregnancy status and ask about your age  after giving ears to your complaint. That is because pregnancy and menopause  are  the only normal natural condition that can cease your menstrual flow, all other factors withholding the flow of your menses is a problem and needs to be perused and checkmated before it gets out of hand.

So now, you’ve gone for several pregnancy tests and they’ve all certified you negative. You still can’t see your menses and you are not pregnant. You are currently confused, freaking out because you don’t have anything to hold on to at this point of time, no menses and no pregnancy. Sleepless nights sets in, you think a lot. You will keep asking yourself “oh my God what is wrong with me?” Who will answer your question? Who will come and tell you what could be your problem?  Assuming somebody can just give you tips to open up your taps again. You will feel relax and feel like a woman ones more, after all what is a lady without an active menstruation cycle?

Lets come down to business, as I mentioned earlier, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause  are  the only factors that God has permitted to naturally cease your menses. Yes, quote me wrong if you can! Other factors are just problems that have being caused by several conditions you have exposed yourself to consciously or unconsciously.  This can fall on any woman at any period in time, it can be a meager problem or so serious that will take miracles to fix. This is why the knowledge of the factors that can cause seizure in your menstrual flow comes in handy. Other abnormal factor that can cause seizure in your menstrual flow includes:

HORMONAL IMBALANCE

Usually one of the frontline factors, hormonal imbalance can cause a woman to miss her periods, maybe caused by tumors in the pituitary gland or thyroid gland problems. Some drugs that affect the hormones can alter its functions and cause confusion to the body’s reproductory  mechanism.  Antipsychotic drugs, Blood pressure drugs and mostly birth control pills which can cause the problem if stopped suddenly.

ANXIETY OR STRESS

Our body is very sensitive to its wellbeing, any slightest change will surely bounce back to disrupt its functioning, this is the relationship between stress and your menstrual flow. Worrying about something for so long can cost you your menstrual flow for that particular month and months to come if you don’t stop worrying and putting anxiety and stress on yourself.  Stress suppresses the functioning of the hypothalamus, (the part of the brain that houses the pituitary gland and controls it). The pituitary gland on its own is the master gland and controls all other gland in the body. If you‘ve being following you will notice that we are now talking about Hormonal Imbalance again.

TOO MUCH WEIGHT

We worry because of our weight just because of two things, our health and our physical appearance, but being overweight has so much above this two things because it can also affect the regulation of your  menstrual flow.  According to Maria Arias, MD, a gynecologist at Atlanta Women's Specialists in Georgia, she stated that basic cholesterol compounds in fatty cells can be converted spontaneously into a type of weak estrogen called estrone. Overweight or obese women carrying extra fat cells have "little estrone-making factories, which have an estrogenic effect on glands. This additional estrogen can cause menstrual disorders.

TOO MUCH EXERCISE

Too much exercise to lose weight and for body fitness can also be a factor that causes problems in your menstrual cycle.  Too much exercise can trigger an effect that suppresses the hypothalamus.

INFECTIONS

Infections can also cause missed menstrual flows, some bacterial infections if left untreated can tamper with your reproductory system and when this happens you shouldn’t expect your menstrual flow to be as normal as before.

Missing your period 2 -3 times in a row can raise a cause for concern, and when this happens, seeking the doctor is the best solution. Don’t follow assumptions and advice from friends, just move forward to your Doctor. That’s my two cents!
